What is the “Best Interest of the Child” in New Jersey?

From an early age, Robyn knew she was destined to be an advocate. Her gift for persuasive argument, first honed in childhood debates with her family, naturally evolved into a lifelong commitment to the practice of law. Today, she brings that same tenacity, focus, and dedication to her clients as one of the small percentage of attorneys certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Matrimonial Law Attorney, a distinction held by only two percent of lawyers statewide.
Robyn graduated from The College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science in Law and Justice and a minor in Spanish and went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2006. Since her admission to the New Jersey bar, she has devoted her career exclusively to family law.
Known for her balanced approach, Robyn is both a skilled litigator and a trusted mediator. She is an approved family law mediator under New Jersey Court Rule, trained as an economic mediator in matters involving domestic violence, and certified as a Parent Coordinator through leading professional organizations. This combination of experience allows her to tailor her strategy to each client’s needs—whether pursuing a strong courtroom presence or guiding families toward amicable, discreet resolutions outside of litigation.
Robyn’s leadership within the legal community reflects her commitment to excellence. She has chaired and co-chaired several prominent bar association committees, currently serves as Part VI Chair for the Statewide Panel of the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Character, and frequently lectures for the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education. Her peers and the press have consistently recognized her achievements, including being named to New Jersey Family Magazine’s “Best Lawyers for Families” list and honored as a Super Lawyer for multiple consecutive years.
Outside the courtroom, Robyn is equally dedicated to service. She has trained with the Jersey Battered Women’s Service, volunteered her time on Early Settlement Panels in Essex, Morris, and Union counties, and continues to mentor and educate fellow professionals.
For her clients, Robyn offers more than legal representation, she provides clarity, discretion, and peace of mind during life’s most difficult transitions. Her wide-ranging expertise ensures that whether the matter calls for sophisticated litigation strategy or a private resolution, her clients receive the highest level of advocacy and care.
